That turned out Great.. But don't ya want to put people on it..? I would.. But then they`d be really small people.... BiLL.. Tim Nolan and I could fit in there...cuz we're small like that.... great work tory! I don't think I could build something like this because I'm afraid that I would lose interest really fast.

Man that is just a wonderful build Tory. I'm glad to someone else is doing other things! LOL! I start to feel guilty posting O/T stuff, because I truly love the showrods, but I do a lot of of other things as well as you know!
Your paintwork is just so crisp and nice, and the colors really stand out. Museum quality work for sure. Congrats on a masterful build!

Thank you all for the kind words! Its nice to know that though way off topic there is still an appreciation for my hard work here! As for adding figures, just to give you all a sense of how small they would be here is a photo of some of the deck furniture taken with an #11 X-Acto blade: Might even be too small for Nolan and Riley!

man tory, the more i look at this, the more i am amazed! You do such great work, and your attention to detail is top notch! I think maybe it could benefit from a couple of blown hemis and some slicks...but what do i know? man that furniture is even too small for me to squeeze into!

Great job Tory. Nice detail as usual.
I would need the xxx magnification for this.

Hey Tory, that is a great build. I'm an old ship builder and I can certainly appreciate all the work and detail you put into this build. It looks beautiful! Thanks Keith, Yeah I think for anyone to fully appreciate what goes into one of these you actually have had to build one! Many moons ago I was commissioned to build a 1/350 scale model of the USS Hornet complete with Doolittle Raid B-25s on deck. That too took me the better part of a year to complete. Here are some photos of that bugger: After that one I swore off large ship projects forever. But...then I forgot and took on the QM2 and had to re-learn my lesson! Tory

Another excellent build. Nice job on the paint and detailing Tory. I love the 1/350 scale but recently bought the 1/144 Fletcher to convert to a USS Kidd. I've been gathering details and conversion parts for a build this winter. They are large and tedious, but the finished models make it all worth while. Again, really a beautiful build on the Hornet and the Dolittle planes to boot!
