It's about 19 dollars plus shipping. Like allclad you can't clear and small details and crevices are tricky to rub. But it does have a bit better shine than allclad.

Here is another I was turned onto by a friend since I am in the auto business. Looks promising as of what what they carry. Haven't tried any as of yet and some of the pricing high, but seems like it would pay off in the long run. Give it a look. Might give you guys some idea. www.alsacorp.com/products/mirrachrome/mirra_prodinfo.htm

I have tried the Also Corp Killer Chrome, and honestly Alclad is better and 10 times less expensive. I would't endorse the Alsa paints at any price. I bought two Kiler Chrome Spray kits and they spit and sputtered when I tried to use them. I sold the othe set.

I got mine in from Japan last week. I have contacts every where. ;D Here is the low down. I did not think I would get to this till tomorrow, but I did. So here is the run down on this stuff. I started out using a gloss white spoon as shown on the video. (No Mask was used)... This is a micro fine powder. Do not open it with out the gloves on as it is in the threads of the container. It also does not take that much to cover a spoon. I dipped it slightly 1 time. Be mindful of how much you drop as this sticks to anything. I like the way it applies and the ease of use. I would say 100 times better than Alclad. I spent under 10 minutes from set up to clean up on this run. Alclad we all know is way longer. Now for what the video does not show. It will rub off like Alclad. About the same handling as Alclad. A few times and you have a bald spot. I tried it on purpose just to see what would happen. I dont know about clearing it yet as all my paint is packed away. I am impressed with the out come of this stuff for sure. I will be using this stuff as long as I can get my hands on it. Here are the pics. Sorry so many but need to get the point across. Ken...

wow.. I would think that any type of clear coat would defeat the shine ... also it will be interesting to see if it tarnishes... cool stuff for sure !

Thanks a lot for the information about this product ... this products gives me lot of options ... cause I dont have any chroming service near (at least couldnt find one) ... must send parts overseas to have them chromed
got my parcel from Japan last week ... HW JAPAN is delivering in a perfect way ! I do recommend them
here what I found using it:
its by far the best result ever seen ... its super easy to use things look like if they were made of a solid piece of metal ... incredible !
its extremely economic cause you need just a very little bit for great results
main rule: the object should be prepared in a perfect way .. its exactly like preparing surfaces for chroming .... cause all imperfections will be seen later
- pure plastic will get a look like polished steel or aluminium ... fantastic
- the color of the plastic or paint will change the color of the chrome a little bit ... not much but I have the impression that it does give a different basic shade using black or white as "background" ... have to test more colors
- high gloss plastic (like the spoon seen above) will get a chromelike supergloss
- before gloss clearcoated or gloss painted surfaces will also get that chromelike supergloss
in short words ... from a mirrorlike surface you will be rewarded with a highgloss mirrorlike chromeshine
masking works like on a normal paint job ... if you dont mask you will have also the surrounding surfaces with a light metal shine cause the stuff spreads also with the polishing cloth ... on single parts its never a problem
I was also surprised that it doesnt rub off as easy as I thought ... you can still handle the parts without fear ... without having to wait til the paint is dry ... ready to use directly after application ... this is what I really love !
I also made a first test clear coating it: clear coating it with an synthetic resin (acrylic?) clear (with solvents) it will loose the chromeshine it turns more greyish BUT: it still looks like glossy polished metal !
wonder how it will react with future or a clear coating without solvents
PS: if you have it by accident on a desk it will smear into a dirty greyish spot ... but you can easily remove it with these white microfibre sponges
