I'm also working on this Satan's Crate. I bought the kit online and tore right into it. I added wheels and tires from the Plolar Lights cartoon kit, resin Dodge Red Ram valve covers, Blower and scoop from a Polar Lights kit, and I'll build a custom base for it. Here's the start, Ol' Scratch is on the paint bench, he'll show up later:

Thanks guys! I wish I had some progress to post but I finished up the 62 Bu-ick and the Pie Wagon (I'll post photos soon) and work has been a little busy. I'm going to wire the motor tomorrow and figure out a blower belt, then work on a base for it.

Nice work, I bet you will be building the rest of the set when released? Maybe, they are a lot of fun to build. Although I have about a million projects to complete! Tom Daniel Show Rods, Zingers!, Deals Wheels, Deuces, Altered wheelbase cars, Show rods of all flavors, Funny Cars, Chargers, 1959 Fords, Mustangs, Road Racers, and on and on...

More stuff!! Since I have this long Thanksgiving break and I'm home alone (unsupervised at that) I've been getting some building done. Old Scratch (or is it Beelzebubba?) got some paint, but no pants! I'll finish him up today and start on the base. Enjoy!

Helluva build so far! Great idea to sharpen up that ol' kit! It's looking excellent. What a difference it makes when you can picture it in your mind.

What did you do with the"hair" detail on his arms and back? I decided to sand it all off on mine, because I just couldn't see how to make it look good, paint-wise.

More work has been done on the crate! I had a couple of weeks off due to a really bad cold. I mounted it on a base and added clay "smoke". I've got a few more tricks for it later. Comments welcome!

Same old one I've been working on, but I bought it new a couple of months ago. I posted a link a few days ago where I got it. Now I need a sign to point the way to hell!
