I want to build one of these. I need to find out where the blower and the wheels came from tho.

This is cool! Man, we would sell our souls for one of these when we were kids!

I still have the one I restored for my son Danny 15 yrs. ago, it's on top of a shelf ion his room. He still likes it! It's stock though, not gasserized like that one. That's cool as hell.

thanks for the link scurv! actually, i found out that the guy who built the "temper tantrum" is planning to, or has already started, casting the blower and the front 5 spoke rims for these things. I have a pedal car but it's a firetruck. it's pretty much the same body as this car, but it has bolt on ladder racks, a bolt on fire bell, and a hose reel. all of that stuff can come off, and i would end up with the same (or very similar) body. one thing i would do is to cut out some rear fenderwells tho and add some different slicks to the back...maybe a littler taller to fill the wheel wells. BUT, i have a strange feeling that all of these parts are gonna be pretty darn pricey. i'll have to wait and see what he tells me on the price of a blower. polished deep dish 5 spoke go kart rims and rear slicks for the rear, and skinny 5 spokes for the front is what i'd like to do. heck, i don't have a kid small enough to even fit into a pedal car anymore but i want to build one just for fun.

That's cool! I remember having a pedal car when I was a kid, loved it!

Maybe you could cut up a paint can or something to make the tubs? You might check small riding mowers for some cheaper rolling stock... and I'm sure you could find a baby stroller or luggage cart with five-spokes or some wheels that look like some kind of spindle-mounts.

Rob, this may not help now, but I was looking on Ebay for pedal cars last year and found a fiberglass blower for a pedal car. I didn't buy it, but someone is making them already. You know the bay? If you don't get it....wait! There is always going to be another one! Keith
