This last year, Puget Sound Auto Modelling Assn, the club of which I have the honor of being vice-president, had a club build. In January, club members were given an AMT Buick Electra 225 kit. The rules were that the finished product had to have at least two recognizable Electra parts, and if you didn't get yours done, you owed the club $15 for the kit. With that sort of incentive, there was a near-100% completion rate, and today's meeting saw the unveiling. Everybody had fun with the project; there was a lot of creativity and craftsmanship shown. Local hobbyshop tycoon Emil M picked two winners, and Dave H and Laurie T walked off with desirable kit prizes, and bragging rights (at least until next year). Next year's kit is the Revell Midget. I have a couple ideas already ;D Here are a couple pics as a teaser, and a link to the album: s193.photobucket.com/albums/z256/hilbyf/PSAMA%20Buick%20Electra%20Club%20Build/

Hey! that's funny! Our Club, the BSAC, did the same kind of thing with the same kit! We had a gasser, a high school hot rod, a custom, and a restomod. I'll post pics when I get them downloaded.
