besides finishing up on my son Joe and my shop, struggling thru the winter we had this year, fixing the 50 year old clogged sewer on the original part of our building, dealing with the lawsuit we STILL have pending over our first (yes I said first, we had to tear it all out and start over) concrete floor, working my day job, and dealing with life in general. My wife Marty's 66 short bed is back from the acid dipper and we can see all the carnage we need to address. Joe (with the red skull cap) built a rotisserie for the cab which has the worst cancer to deal with.Gonna have an LS1 and 4L60E for motorvation but will look factory stock from the outside. Here's the whole she-bang of pics so far....s1224.photobucket.com/home/66tech

It's all fun and games until you get it dipped or blasted, isn't it?

Yup, there's no denying what you have to work with after you have it dipped. It's really cool though because you can see EXACTLY what you have to deal with and nothing is hiding from you under 20 eleven coats of paint.
Dennis, thanks for the kudos on the garage. It has been both a pleasure and a pain to build but we can see the light finally. My son Joe and I have largely built it ourselves with the occassional help of a few good friends (including the second coming of the concrete). It's not just a hobby shop for us although it is nice to have unlimited access. Joe is running his own full blown repair shop out of it and I am 1/2 partners in the building so he could afford to start it up from scratch. I hope by the time I'm able to retire, it will give me someplace to slide into for my daily therapy.
Timbo, appreciate the sympathies about the lawsuit. It has been going since Aug 2009. We probably will never see a penny, but we at least drove the rat b@st@rd out of business with all the negative publicity it has brought so he can't screw anyone else over. Nice thing about living in a small town, word travels fast.

YIKES!!! WOW!!! HOLY COW!!!Boy Schteve, when you bite into a project, you REALLY bite into a project don't you!!! It looks like you have a solid frame anyway, that's a good thing! ;D. Great shop, awesome rotisserie, talented son/partner (best part of all) and a basket case project, looks like all the ingredients are there for a wild 1:1 build! Can't wait to see progress/completed shots! The short handled sledge hammer gave me an idea for a project name........."Thor". The God of Thunder (& Rock 'N' Roll, according to KISS ). Maybe it's just me but when I find things hidden away in a project (I'm assuming that's the case with the hammer) they tend to send me down a path of the meaning behind the name of the project . Kolor me goofy . Anyway, with the combined talents of your son & yourself I'm sure this will turn into a real head turner. Good luck & God speed!!! "Paulie"
