I've posted 2 of the most recent customs I did based on Dave Deal's art and style. I thought this time I'd reveal the first one I did. Before the new repops, I had an extra set of wheels, a head, and a surfboard. Throw in a Revell 31 Woody, some sheet styrene and some epoxy, and you get this. I was still experimenting with some techniques, and when I get my hands on another 31, I'll redo it. Some of the cuts and matings are similar, but stance isn't as raked and, for me, the wood painting is a bit heavy handed.       Note: the illo (tried to do it in Big Deal's style) shows a different bumper and headlight mount. I changed those to match the Abone and AC Deucey and keep the set consistent. |
