This looks like the original. Didn't it have a commode driver's seat, or am I just thinking about the other one?

You are correct, the one modeled by Eldon had the commode for a seat, and all of the green padded stuff al over. This is the Barris car, actually in better shape than the last photos I saw of it a few years back. This thing is the epitomy of butt-ugly showrods as far as I'm concerned!!

That's definitely the original - apparently the original tires from the '60s, even. I'd bid(et) on it if I was flush. Probably money down the drain for a vanity project, though. ;D ;D Actually, what's also interesting is that I was looking through Andy Southard, Jr.'s book "Hot Rods and Customs of the '60s" last night, and I'm pretty sure that the gold bubble-top car sitting next to the Bathtub Buggy in the eBay pics is one of the cars pictured in the book - a customized '56 Lincoln Continental Mark II. Not a great custom, but I wouldn't mind seeing pics of that one, too, in its current condition. Found it on Rik Hoving's site! Owned by Lee Wells: public.fotki.com/Rikster/11_car_photos/customcars_i_like/60s_custom_show_cars/1956-lincoln-bubble-top/Oh. And note, too, that there is a Batmobile on the other side of the bubble-top Lincoln. Brian
