Looking for input.
I've been saving MM gift certificates for almost two years and I now have enough to buy the MicroMark PE kit. But before I put down the cash I was hoping to hear from anyone who bought one.
What did you think?
Thanks

I haven't used that exact tool, but the ideas behind it are sound. I did use to etch circuit boards, all of the time ... and it was one of those processes that's as much knowledge as equipment, in a way -- almost an arcane art, rather than an exact science; sorta kinda. So, to me, that kit looks like it'd do the job okay enough. Probably more than enough, for most uses. If you're interested in finding out a LOT of details about the whole acid-etching process (including making your own, larger, more-industrial set of etching tools) check out this multi-page tutorial by R/C submarine / sci-fi modeling guru, and occasional Hollywood movie model and/or prop maker, David Merriman: culttvman.com/main/?p=14677culttvman.com/main/?p=14682culttvman.com/main/?p=14686culttvman.com/main/?p=14693
