I don't know if this has been posted before, but in the movie "Villiage of the Giants" the Surfite is used in one of the scenes. The local teenagers are trying to tie up Beau Bridges, one of the giants. They lasso him and drive around him tryingh to bring him down. There are some very kool cars, including the Surfite. So if you can wade through the cheesy dialogue, cheap special effects, poor acting, grab a copy and see the Surfite for about 10 seconds on the screen. www.angelfire.com/weird2/villageoftheg/Marty Marysville, OH

Rodger Anyone notice both the I Dream of Jeannie and Bewitched houses on that street set? Boy, that set got a lot of use! And why do Giants move really slow? like they are weightless in Space or something? Do your muscles not grow as much as your skin and bones (when you become giant)? LOL

Very young Beau Bridges as the giant??. squinting or was he boss eyed?? (forgot his glasses?) Nice rods with the Surfite....certainly shows the age (gasser style front suspension).. Notice the floppy bodywork on the roadster, when he attaches 'the 'rope' it creases, when lands on the road, all floppy like thin plastic LoL.... I think those pair of hairy legs hillarious, they just stand there..... very thin ropes eh?, more like lassos.. had me in stitches... ;D ;D ------------------------ I suppose the actors had to visualise themselves as giants (lumbering along, try to keep pace with the 'little people' under their feet. If they strided in real time, they would be left literally miles behind ;-) Hot Rod by Barris Kustom City and very young Ronny Howard as genius' Col.

I'm thinking giants muscles grow in comparison and their bones and skin.... It's my opinion that the giants reflex actions aren't fully developed.... or maybe airdave is correct and its because of the gravitational pull of the earth.
