I doubt that's anyone here. I don't think he is going to get any bids ;D

Hard to get that kind of cash in one chunk. They're going to have to be sold individually, and still no guarantees.

Nice display cases. I also like the pedal cars.....but I don't think it's all worth 10k. Dave

My model collection is big enough without adding that collection to it, I will be in the doghouse for sure!!

yeah...i can see some guy looking on e-bay who owns a nice 70 chevelle, thinking"hmmm, man i'd love to trade my REAL drivable car for a bunch of toys." Like that's gonna happen. I think k9 is right, it;s worth more to him than anyone else. No one in their right mind would pay 10k for that stuff.

That's exactly why my kids get to play with most of my hot wheels and Johnny Lightning stuff I collected... I'd rather them make memories than sit on it and not ever get anything out of it in the end...

I worked in a hobby store for long enough to know that collections seldom get that kind of money. I also helped a few friends sell collections of mint kits from the 60s. A store or collector will pay about $10 a car for promos in large lots like that and $5 for a kit. One friend found a buyer in Japan about 20 years ago and that deal, for about 5000 mint kits, took almost 3 years. We found through experience that if you buy 100 kits, 20 are great, 20 are dogs and 60 are so-so. Unless he has some super rare stuff, he probably will sit on that for a while. Unless he finds someone who just inherited a wad of cash. Then there is the problem of picking it up...unless you live close, you're not getting it
