So, the other day i accidentally broke one of the original clear glass back up light lenses on my 55 pontiac. A used original glass lens for it is around $30.00 - $40.00. So i came up with these. They are 60 chevy clear back up light lenses that i got for $4.00 (plus $5.00 shipping). I had to cut quite a bit off of the back of the lenses to get them to fit in the light housings and the trim rings. The reason i chose 60 chevy lenses is because a few years ago, i replaced the broken out centers of the tail lights with 60 chevy tail light lenses. So now, the tail lights and back up lights match, and bullet lenses always look cool and add a little custom touch. The original glass lenses were just round and flat..nothing special as far as design goes....but they are made of clear glass. The 60 chevy back up lenses are originals and they have some wear (or patina) on them which i like. The wear helps them match the aged look of the tail lights, the front turn signal lenses, and the clear indian head hood ornament light. so, what do you think?

Looks just fine by me. I'd bet if you didn't tell people, they'd never know they didn't come that way.
