Thought you guys might get a kick out of this. A beautifully modified Romme's Rod took 2nd place at the IPMS National Convention help in Omaha Nebraska this year. Here is a photo:

Yes, it is Terry Williams, I am proud to say his is in the Cedar Rapids, Iowa ipms club Alexander Lippisch Model Club. He is also the one who produced the Little Red Wagon Drag Racing Team for Lindberg Model company. He scratch built the trailer using lindberg parts and they photographed it for the box art. He is an awesome builder.

Brandon should get some royalties from that guy ;D ;D. It is good to see a show rod in the winners circle, even if it is second place. What placed 1st?

Remember at IPMS contests, it isn't so much how much work is performed as it is the quality of the work. Its all about minimizing the flaws.

That's really cool! I like the Deuce too, but the RR is pretty inspirational - and really nicely built!

Every dog has it's day... LOL. When we first started those guys, especially on the old Hobby Henhouse board would bash showrods for weeeks... We were right all along.
