I bought an original Orange Crate from Evilbay and it came with a resin hood!! I always hear about that resin hood!! Did they include it with the kit!! Still in plastic baggie!!

I hope yours fits better than mine did buddy ... there's not much room for error and 9 times out of 10 the hood was warped or needed tweaking... be careful tweeking this little jewel !! it's as fragile as a potato chip ...

The "original" Orange Crate came with good old plastic parts throughout. It was only the later reissue that came with the resin hood (which, as Chuck says, was rarely straight) because the mould for the hood had been hacked about so much over the years for different versions of the kit.
I hope you got the plastic version with your original kit, the resin version just makes a tough kit to build even tougher!

Supposed to be all plastic. We shall see. Revell says in their brochure that the hood will be be retooled, and molded in styrene. I have an original, and the reissue with the thin resin hood that I was going to combine. Ruben, I hope you didn't pay a big price for the reissue being called an original. Revell used the original box art, and date, but on one side of the reissue box there will be the reissue date as well.
