Looking at Scott's Deal's Wheels Lucky Pierre build got me to thinking. Other than the pilot and machine gun ,what is the difference between that kit and the "Create your own message" snap kit that Revell issued a few years later ? I'm thinking the snap kit would make a good clone of the Pierre kit.

Don, The other differances are as follows: Front of E/pipes are differant and mounting point and L/P also has foot steps in the side of the body. Chrome rims, landing gear tail wheel, The upper supports (4 on cowl) , the rear ones form a ' V ' at the connecting point instead of being vertical. Hope this helps....Stan

Don, The Incredible Flying Machine is more of a snap kit. It is motorized and holds a C cell battery. There is a small switch protruding from the side of the motor to turn on the electric motor on to spin the prop. If you had both kits it would be a fairly easy conversion to make. Thought of doing it myself. Also, to add to what Stan said, the tires are bigger and not as skinny as the Lucky Pierre. The spokes are already chrome. Hope that helps a little more.

Sorry for the late reply, but we didn't have any power due to the storms. Thanks guys, I have two of the snap kits ; one unbuilt and a parts kit . All I have of the Pierre kit is the pilot and a machine gun . I was hoping the parts kit would be a good basis for a clone ; it looks like I'm going to have to search from some original bits !

Hey Don, I can help you with some bits. I recast the body, undercarrage and engine for my latest build. But not wings. I have a spare plastic propeller. Also a pair of original wheels too that I wont be needing.
