Has anyone built one of these ? The front suspension is the same as the Stingaree, Infini T , etc, but the body is wider than the other kits, and the front support arms are just too big. If they are put on like the other sister kits the front of the car sticks way up . There are small cut outs on the side of the body whick look just like the box art and instruction sheet, but theres no way they will work -Am I m missing something here ? I hate to cut up the body ,especially after its been painted !

I notched my support arms and moved them in so the body covers them. I hopes this helps.

Thanks, I think notching them is a great idea ,and I'll be doing that as well. I guess its no wonder these kits are so rare, an average kid would have had a hard time putting the frame and body parts together, and then the arms don't line up with the body - I'm sure a lot went in the trash or got blown up with firecrackers.

Could you post a picture of your Maverick ? I'd like to see how yours came out.

They were and are a bear to build. Destroyed my Infinit-T back in the day, did get a Bugaboo put together but not well. I did manage to build the Infinit-T reissue at least.
