This guy who bought a roadster that I shot for Rod & Kulture in 2005 asked me if I had the original files from the photo shoot, so he could have them for his stuff to go with the car.... This meant that I had to dig through some stuff that has not seen the light of day in many years..
Some of you may remember my old eyerush site, or the the old Boss Ride magazine I tried to get off the ground that was shut down by Ford's trademark lawyers... LOL... Looong story...
Anyways, I had been archiving showrod photos for a while, and I ran across an old CD I had put together and it has over 470 images...
I'm thinking about a new gallery section, and keeping it simple.... maybe just a 1:1 Gallery heading, with threads for different builders, so we can all post the images we have of the various show rods for research and posterity type purposes... Like a general area, and within a Barris thread, a Roth thread, etc.... I have some pics you guys will really dig.... I want to keep it as simple as possible, and not break it down into minutia with sub categories for each builder, but just post cars from each guy within the thread...
I'm open to input and suggestions, and I think it could be a great archival asset to the board, as well as generate some activity...
What say ye?

Fantastic idea. Especially if it was limited to posts of only pictures/referrence material to the car and not "I always liked it" type comments.
2 Thumbs up Brandon.

I see this also as motivation for a possible model "contest" down the road... Outstanding idea Brandon...!

Alright... Lets see if I can get something put together by the end of the week. I need to clean out my photobucket account and upload the images off the CD.
I think the method of a builder-specific thread will work, and if you want to comment or discuss a particular vehicle, maybe we can do that on the main board to add some energy.... I have some crazy cars that I had forgotten about... hehehe..
Keep on with the input... questions or suggestions?

Sounds like one of the best ideas i have heard here in a LONG time. Hey brandon, speaking of boss ride.....I have a Boss Ride T-shirt that you sent me a long time ago. It has a ford sedan drag car on the front doing a huge burnout going down the 1/4 mile and under the image it simply says "BURNOUT!" It has the boss ride logo on the back if i remember correctly.

Hey Rob, I can do you a sweet deal on the other Boss Ride T's! One careful owner, good condition for their age, guaranteed not to increase in value!

You guys are funny... LOL.
I don't even have any left. I think I have one Dr. Wheelie shirt in blue and it's hammered...
I do have most of the vellums for the screen printing some where.
Remember the red Testors shirts I... uh... found at that yard sale? Muwhahahaa...

They're all medium (same as me strangely!) and if you're even half way serious I'll see what's in the T shirt drawer of doom.
Hmmm, red Testors shirt, got one of them too, probably involved Brandon somewhere along the line!

I think this new gallery is one of the best ideas ever You think it will be possible to make some subdirectorys ? One for each Showrod otherwise some of the threads will end up soon in a mess
some designers will have just one or two ... but others like barris are already becoming difficult to find something ...
