While I was cutting up the SurfBeetL, I also had the AMT 3n1 kit on the table, and thought it might be fun to just shorten it without distorting it's lines. Here's what I ended up with: The frame, running boards, tub (as well as floorboard) and driveshaft were shortened. I'm sure it's cramped in there, but drivable . Painted satin Hunter green and black, steel and amber drybrush on the undecarriage. Whitewalls from the parts bin (1931 Sedan?) to give it that runabout look.

very wacky, odd that you didn't use deals wheels tires I like it. it's a nice change of pace Yeah, I guess I could have slapped a set of DW tires under it... but I kinda like the Hooterville-ish charm of the other version. Real, but off-kilter. I would have had to car'toon' it up some more to get that DW flavor (and I was waiting to see what Keith (Eggzilla) does with that '29 Pickup he started way back, should he ever get around to it). And, Ira: thanks! It makes me smile too!

What a sweet, short, ride. The green paint makes me think "English". Hey, stuff Wallace and Grommit in it. Great photos.
