[glow=red,2,300]HOG VETTE!!![/glow] Hog Vette will be a Deals Wheels style Corvette Dragster! I started the Hog Vette as a 2 week Challenge to see if I can start and finish a CAR-TOONS Project by June 4, 2012! I started with a Vintage Stink Ray "Glue Bomb". I decided to cut it up after I got a New Funsters Vette on Ebay! I am going to cross the Vette with a Top Fuel Body from the Valvoline Rear Engine Dragster. [glow=red,2,300]More coming Soon!!![/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]Slimmin' Down The VETTE!!![/glow] I cut this section from the side of the Vette Body to reduce its width. Then I replaced the Body Section with a piece of flat plastic. That's a little narrower... ;D

[glow=red,2,300]NOSE JOB For HOG VETTE!!![/glow] I started by cutting out the body section where the front axle comes through. Next I cut off the excess back portion. Then I cut the Dragster Body right down the middle. [glow=red,2,300]More Coming Soon![/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]More Nose Work...[/glow] I cut a triangle of sheet plastic about 3/4" by 5". This will bring the width of the Nose out to fit the Vette Body Section. I turned the Nose over and glued the 4 Sections together. After some more cutting and fitting I attached the Nose and the Body together. I glued the Corvette Section about 3/32" above the height of the Nose. [glow=red,2,300]What Next?[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]BODY FITTING!!![/glow] I cut out and attached a sheet plastic triangular shape, up against the edge of the Corvette Body. This makes the Body Parts level. I added a strip of plastic along the bottom edge of the Corvette Body to match it up with the Nose section. I wonder...what kind of Engine should we use?

[glow=red,2,300]ANOTHER NOSE JOB!!![/glow] I didn't like the Dragster Nose so I sliced it off on an angle... Then I cut a piece of plastic to fill-in the New Nose! Now, where is that Front Wing?

[glow=red,2,300]VETTE WING!!![/glow] I couldn't find the Front Dragster Wings, so I made my own wing. I wanted some of the Corvette Shape up front and the Front Bumper/Grill was Perfect! I cut the Grill off the Bumper. Next I cut and fit sheet plastic to fit into the Bumper/Wing. I glued the plastic into the Bumper/Wing and measured the fit on the Nose. So after some cutting and fitting, I got the New Corvette Wing in place! ;D

[glow=red,2,300]SUPERCHARGED ENGINE From SUPER FUZZ!!![/glow] I cut the Supercharger off of a Super Fuzz Engine. Next I cut out an area for the Supercharger. Then I glued a piece of plastic to the underside of the body to cover the area. [glow=red,2,300]Here is the mock-up with the Supercharger!!![/glow]

This will look good next to the Camaro rail. Now I have to ask, where does the name for this one come from?

This will look good next to the Camaro rail. Now I have to ask, where does the name for this one come from? Thanks David! I plan on taking photos of the ZZZ-28 Dragster and Hog Vette together, for a special presentation. Funny you should ask about the HOG VETTE name...

Nice mixin', Ira. Judging by your wing plan, the ratio is: four parts real to two parts Deal! ;D

[glow=red,2,300]HALF CHASSIS!!![/glow] I am using the back half of the Vette Chassis Plate, so I cut the front part off. I carved the Chassis Plate to fit the Body. I found a 16th scale '56 T-Bird rear end, with the ends cut off it's a Perfect Fit! I painted the Chassis Plate with Flat Black and the Rear End with Diamond Dust. Next the Interior!

[glow=red,2,300]HOG VETTE WHEELS!!![/glow] Instead of the stock "Deals Wheels" Tires, I switched to these... The Rears are from a 16th scale Ferrari. The Front Wheels are from the Beatnik Bandit II, with Skinny Vintage Revell Gasser Tires.

[glow=red,2,300]HOG BODY WORK!!![/glow] I used a Dremel Tool with a Drum Sanding Bit to smooth out the area where both bodies meet. Added putty to a few spots... I sanded smooth the rear end and drilled out the Taillights. [glow=red,2,300]More Sanding....[/glow]

[glow=red,2,300]GETTIN' SMOOTHER...[/glow] I Sanded the body down with some 220 Grade Sand Paper then dropped down to 320 Grade. The Wing Supports are made from Deal's Wheels Z-28 Exhaust Pipes. I attached the Wing Supports before applying the Primer. Ready for Primer!

After the Orange dried I masked off the body and sprayed 2 coats of Gloss Black! [glow=red,2,300]Turned out OK, Thank Goodness!!![/glow] I always worry that the paint will run under the masking tape...
