I udnerstand that it's a pro-mod, but man, the body proportions look goofy. yes i know, that's how real pro-mod cars look.

Very Nice "in progress" Work so Far, I Like it ! ! -AL

I know it's "correct" but it just looks so wrong I'd have to fix it just to make myself happy if no one else. I'd rather have a model 'look right' than be right, but that's just me. On topic. Epic start!

well as my PS3 has died on me for a second time, i thought i would get on with the chassis. and you know what? i'm not bothered that the PS3 has stopped working for the time being, as i am enjoying this. got lots done as you can see, with a couple of adjustments being made along the way. still got plenty to do, but will have a break on sunday for NSRA Supernationals here in the UK. got some machining done today, the front struts 90% done, as i still have to put the spindles in and paint the springs. also did a couple of engine components and made the bracket from sheet aluminium which is not fully finished. By metalhead6464 at 2012-08-10 plenty more to come. steve

thanks guys. started doing the lenco transmission, as well as re-doing the mid mount plate, as the plastic one did not cut it for me. also did the engine mount and both were made out of 0.5mm aluminium. the gearbox was turned out of chemiwood with the detailing done out of plastic. although most of this will be hidden under a blanket. hey all. i started doing some work on the body so it can fit the chassis (pics soon) but also got stuck into doing the valve covers. these were machined out hard chemiwood and finished with a strip of plastic. holes were drilled for fitting to the heads and ignition wires. i am thinking of casting these up, but the finished ones will be painted black. By metalhead6464 at 2012-09-04 oh, the steering boots are turned ally with heat shrink tubing over the top. steve

here are some more updates. i'm doing something a little different here with the ignition wires. i normally install them after most of the engine is done, but this time, i decided to put them in before the blower goes on. it made things easier as i can adjust the wires accordingly just by pulling them out of the mag, as they are just pushed in. also made the fuel valve on a design by John Teresi's Daytona Pro Mod model. started doing the gear shifters out of 0.5 aluminium. did two but the smaller one will end up as the shute release. the boot lid is being made from thick plastic. got some more updates. turned a set of pulleys and trim rings for the blower hat. if i had a turn table, i would have milled them. i also made the butterflies from sheet ally. i have taken a mould of the manifold and blower hat block and cast them, along with the valve covers i made earlier. they do have a couple of air holes, but nothing that can't be put right. By metalhead6464 at 2012-09-17 thanks for looking. steve
