Thanks man ! Actually that body was molded in white . I painted a base coat of Krylon Pumpkin Orange and then a couple of coats of Krylon Orange Glitter Blast that I bought at Michaels . then a couple of coats of clear before sanding and then more clear . It's perfect for dune buggies and boats , but the flakes are too big for anything else .

Very nice!
I think the flake is perfect for the time these were popular.
I like it with the roof up too.

I saw the other Meyers Manx's in the Show Rod section , but to me they are sort of an inexpensive Hot Rod . I guess I'm not sure what a " Show Rod " is . Some people think my little cartoon Ford isn't one . Is there a guide or definition of what goes where ?

I bought some Glitter blast paint, Will i have to basecoat like you did or is it ok to shoot it on bare plastic?

Glitter Blast needs a base coat as it is a tinted clear with the glitter . Also spray it outside as the can has more pressure than normal spray paint and the glitter really " Blasts " out of the can ! Once it is dry don't handle it until you get some clear on it as some of the flakes will come off . It really goes on evenly and looks great . Good Luck !

Good looking Manx! Love the metalflake paint! Not used to seeing smoothies with wide whites on a buggy, but I like it!
