Hey fellow klowns! Here is a long awaited update. But before that, I feel that I owe you guys a bit of an explanation. Late last July I had to put this project & pretty much everything else on hold due to a back-stabbing landlord!. This was followed by two more p.o.s. landlords. After being forced (end of May) to move from the third house in less than a year, we had to spend the month of June at a local campground (basically homeless) while we searched for another house to rent. The day before we had to leave the campground, we found this nice, little house with a decent landlord! Strange ways. It has taken us the past two months to get our lives back in some kind of order. Thanks for letting me rant. Now, on with the show!! To help get back in the groove, I decided to start on the roof: Starting with the 13 yr. old rear body section (fabbed around a roadster rear body section), I cut off the curved section for the trunk lid: (sorry about the fuzzy pics, finally got them to load from my work 'puter.) Next came the fun part, hacking up a perfectly good 3-window roof that I bought a couple yrs. ago from e-deuce (ebay): After a dremel session: The casting is pretty thick (1/4"), I might try casting these pieces to reduce the bulk of them. Next, I started to fit them to the body: The roof will still need to be chopped (about a 1/2"), but, I think I'm on the right track. As always, questions, comments always welcome! ;D
