Price is very nice but I wonder what is the outside diameter of the spark plug wire (including the insulation)?

Will you be carrying 8th scale Mr. Bill ?? Took the words right out of my fingers I bought some from a guy on another board that said they were 1/8th but they are obviously better suited to 1/16th.

Should this be looked into? there is always enough in the new kits but is sometimes missing from the old kits.. also if a guy is bashing or building a project the need is there .. speaking for myself of course,, ;D

Thanks. That is the reason I always ask for the diameter. 0.022" diameter wire is scale diameter: 0.946" in 1:43 0.704" in 1:32 0.550" in 1:25 0.528" in 1:24 0.396" in 1:18 0.352" in 1:16 0.264" in 1:12 0.176" in 1:8 This way you have an idea whether the wire will be correct for your model. Assuming that you know the diameter of the 1:1 scale wire you are trying to replicate.

This is a hobby, not a profession, or career. Many things in this hobby are not 100% accurate, but they look good! Most of the Show Rods this site was designed for do not even exist in 1:1. How's that for correct? I would be very interested in seeing your chart on specs, & tolerance of non-existent vehicles. This wire is the exact same size I have been buying at the hobby shop for years at $3.50 a pop! assuming I can read my dial calipers. And a pre-wired distributor from the same wire is almost $6.00 If it pleases you my friend, I will graciously promise to never sell another inch of wire on this site, Your call. Merry Christmas peteski! Bill

Assuming that you know the diameter of the 1:1 scale wire you are trying to replicate. I guess I don't understand. .55 x 25 = 13.75 inches His chart is not quite self explanatory, but the equation would be .022 x 25 = .55 inches in 1:1 and that is correct, But! When I decided the hobby shop was gouging me too deep, I took the direct approach to resolve the issue, not the scientific approach. I measured the wire from the hobby shop, and that's what I searched for in bulk. I bought a few thousand ft. to get the lower price. but that's the way it works. I have had several compliments, but never one complaint until now. Right or wrong, I like the look, and I'm not alone.

Scaledetail, By posting the chart, I only wanted to show the scale dimensions of the wire you sell. Nowhere I said that it was too large, too small, or out of scale. No complaints here.
In my modeling experience, if you properly scale things on a model, it will just look "right". It is those little things (like wiring or hoses) that make a big visual difference. Sure, some showrods might be pure fantasy, but if you build them to look as they would if they really existed in 1:1 scale, they will look very realistic. As a modeler, you should know that.
Again, I'm not trying to put your product down. The wire that you have seems to be very similar in dimensions and appearance to a 30 ga. wire-wrapping wire I buy from electronic suppliers. I bought bunch from a surplus dealer and I have also repackaged it in 4' sections (of 4 different colors) and sold them to my local club members for a buck per bag. The guys in the club were buying it from me.
The reason I asked for the diameter is because I am always on a lookout for a very fine electrical wire. Like the stuff Detail Master or ProTech sells. I actually use it for its intended purpose (when I install working lights in some of my smaller models).
