Let's see. First there was Roth's Wishbone, then a Super Safari dune buggy and finally the "Truck". Not bad.

So what color is the hot rodded truck??? I always see them in red but it looks more like a dark tangerine or even root beer.......

Sure looks a lot like the Wishbone but the only pictures I've seen have shown it as an open roadster with no tailfins. Roth always said he hated the Wishbone and that he sawed it in half and threw it away, could someone have made these modifications for the show before Dirty Doug did his restoration?

I kinda like that 50/50 version with the old back half.....I think there was more than one car....not uncommon back then

I've only seen pictures of it as a bubble topped rod. Fins and all. This is the only way I've ever seen it (these pics come from the book Hot Rods by Ed "Big Daddy" Roth). If anyone has pics of it with a full top, I would really like to see them.

Wishbone didn`t appear in this episode. The first showrod is called Stiletto. I can`t remember who built it but there is a picture of it in Famous Custom an Show cars- book by Barris.
