Years ago I produced the newsletter for SAM - Sacramento Auto Modelers. It was a pretty good club and got me way into modeling with friends. Before I joined SAM, I was a closet modeler, unaware that there were others out there who thought nothing of hunching over a bench for hours on end. One of my favorite parts of the newsletter was doing sketchpad drawings like we see in the glossy mags. Here are a couple pages for the long dead newsletter. Hosted on FotkiSorry about the rotation on the view. Hosted on Fotki

If you are talking about the F-100 COE, that would be it.
I did the drawing, then Ross Buhler from the SAM club took the body pretty close to what you saw. He gave it to me to finish, but it was too rough. I bought a couple F-100s to try my own version. It's been on the to do list since 1985.
The body you saw was found by Highzoot at the 2006 Rat Plastic Thrash and cut up for parts. Sam Freeman, AKA Skuzzo found the parts this year and liked it so much, he was inspired to put it back together with the intention of casting it.
Who knows, maybe after I finish the Uncertian C, I'll finally make the body that Sam wants - if he has not done it himself.

Joe,
You are welcome to anything you want, Buddy. They have a good chance of getting done with you...and done well.
