One of my all time faves...I hate that no one has ever done a 25th scale kit.

Jeffries was (and still will be through his heirs) very protective of his rights to the design, which is why pirated copies of the design or the slot body rapidly disappear. Last thing approved was the 1/8 diecast discussed previously, before that was the little Hot Wheels version, nothing else.
I have both the MPC version and the Nichimo version slots, neither one is dimensionally correct due to accommodations for the chassis and motor. I suspect the Japanese were copying the MPC version, don't believe it was official. Dean talked about it once when I was with him and I think thats what he said.
The MPC version was done in cooperation with Dean, if you see the car at the Peterson museum, its often displayed with a blueprint, has the lower right corner where the drawing label is being covered up, underneath it is an MPC drawing. These were done by the MPC folks at the time the slot project was going on. The drawings are accurate to the car vs compromises on the slot body, too bad this was never executed in styrene.
