my name is joe, i am looking for a specific model. it is a rare model. i believe its name is bones bucket or bucket of bones. it is not the bad medicine car from tom daniels, it is like it. it is a dragster with a hearse like c-cab. it has a skeleton with a black top hat, he has his hand on a ball shifter. the car is approx. 12 inches long when built. it has old lanterns on the cab. the box art had a castle with a moon and bats in the background. it had a long s curved driveway. it was approx made in the late 70s to early 80s. not sure who produced it. if you know any details or have it, i will pay extreme top dollar. please give me a call, my name is joe 269-673-0070. thanks, anything is appreciated.

The only kit I can find is 'Bad Medicine', but will try some sites over here.

Are you sure you are not getting two or more kits confused?
Ya got me stumped.... was it a realistic kit, or a "monster" one like the Frankenstein and King Kong hot rods?

Joe has given us a lot of details: - specific model - rare model - its name is Bones Bucket or Bucket of Bones- it is not the Tom Daniels Bad Medicine - it is a dragster - with a hearse - like a c-cab - it has a skeleton with a black top hat - he has his hand on a ball shifter - the car is approx. 12 inches long when built - it has old lanterns on the cab - the box art had a castle with a moon and bats in the background - it had a long s curved driveway - it was approx made in the late 70s to early 80s Unfortunately, despite all these details, I still do not know yet, from which kit is the question here...

Sounds like a concept for something.....but working in the model biz for 35+ years I can say it never happened. Between our hosts collection and mine I'd say we have 100% of the showrod kits MADE. We had folks come in our store all the time asking for kits not ever made.....happened a lot before the net came into being. They seen a Roth photo done up like a kit box and wanted one....but it was never made. If proven wrong I'll be the first to say I was wrong......but I don't think I'll have to do so.

Could it be an early resin kit? Maybe only a few were made

Think Aurora or lindberg. Mummy's CHarriot or Dracula's Dragster.

I think you all are relying to much on the OP's memory . I bet Dave is right , he kinda sorta remembers something but he isn't really sure of much (no offense intended) . It's probably the Boothill Express or the Barnabas Van and he just can't picture it . I know it happens to me all of the time !

Not sure if anyone else has noticed, but... modelmanjoe86 joined 2 minutes before asking this question, and has not returned for 60 hrs to see the results. I see a lot of homework being done, but no-one checking the answers.
Just my 2 cents.

I tried searching old post....but can't find it. I do recall that that person went away soon too....... ODD

If nothing else, it gets juices flowing and thinking about kits you may have forgotten about. It's gotten more replies than most posts, 2 pages already. I don't see it as work, I enjoyed looking around at the old box art. Black helicopter outside my window, gotta' go!

What I think is odd that so many members responded to this thread. When a new guy joins your lucky to see a post.

I think this "Joe" has this club running around trying to find a kit that, as mentioned, may have just been an idea in the past. Glad to see everyone working together to help out a new member. Hopefully he comes back.

Not a complaint my friends, Merely a time line observation. Had I joined here to ask this question, I'd make frequent returns to find the answer. Helping out a fellow modeler is ALWAYS a good thing. Enjoy the hunt!

It seems joe MAY be one of those guys who join because they need a part or info , and then never return to the site. Theres a lot of "members" who have posted one or two times that are quite a few years old. It would be nice if they would stick around and contribute something.
