Just picked up a near mint Thunder Bug , does anyone have a front or rear bumper for this- damaged or not ? Mine is missing one of the nerf bars , so if you have a bumper with one missing nerf bar I could use that too. I have a broken spike too, if anyone has one they want to part with I could really use that as well. Will buy or trade

If it's actually a Monogram Thunderbug, then it doesn't have bumpers, but rather push bars, shaped kind of like tusks. This kit however, is VERY similar to the Revell "Lil Herbie" (the love bug) and if you require ridge rider bumpers like that kit had, I can probably make you some from resin. Can you please post pictures? They are invaluable in these situations, much like in your "Swine Hunt" thread.

For some reason we have always called the push bars "nerf bars" I was hoping someone here would have either a front or rear assembly, or even one with one of the bars missing so I could graft it onto mine. Its a long shot I know, but you never know what some klown may have in his junk box ! LOL  |

You are correct, they're most often referred to as "Nerf" herder.. uhh bars.  Sorry, I was watching "Cops reloaded" at the time. I have a parts kit of this somewhere, that hopefully has the parts you need but don't hold your breath. My girl cleaned this place end to end while I was ill and I haven't been able to find a thing since! |

Lol. So your the one I was bidding against. That was a sweet score. The guy must have been a little bummed; he said he had sold it and the buyer backed out for "medical" reasons . I looked at the past auction and it had sold for $30.00 more than I paid for it ! |

Of double what it brought the first time and he passed . So I placed a small bid so it would be moved into my (items I'm bidding on section) and I missed placing a bid the last day. Glad you got it. |

Don, if you're still looking, I'm pretty sure I have a spare rear part with the nerf bars and exhaust pipe intact. Let me know if you need it.
I was watching that auction both times. I wondered why it showed up a second time. Quickly went out of my price range both times, lol. (At least, what I could do at the time)
