In the past I've banged on the model car companies and their lackluster box art and lack of three-n-one versions on the exterior more than once. I must say the last few times I've been in the model car aisle, I have been highly impressed. I just want to say thank you to you guys behind the scenes for making them come to life once again. Now, if we can just do something about the $27 price tag... For me to buy a kit for myself and the two boys it's nearly $90 for a Saturday's worth of fun... However, once again, thank you guys, and keep up the good work. They look great!

Most of the R2 box art credit goes to John G.......He finds the coolest vintage or has retro looking new art. Moebius is on the trend too......but with such a sort history....retro look. Revell needs to jump on the trend. Agreed that $27 is too high.....but lots on net guys beat those $$$.

I totally agree with you guys , the box art in the hobby store really draws me in again, like it did when I was a kid . And as much as I'd like to buy the kits at the store ,I just cant pay the 28.00 and more they are asking ,and I'm sure a kid that wants to try building a model wont buy one either. I'll buy paint ,brushes, etc there, but I have to buy the kits online .

My local hobby store closed so I have not seen prices in a while. Brandon, is that American dollars? I had to call up a CPI calculator to check this out. I used 1970 and a two-buck kit. As you can see below, here is what it said: $2.00 in 1970 has the same buying power as $12.26 in 2015.So what's going on man?--DR

In Sweden, IF I'm lucky enough to find a store that actually sells kits, I usually have to pay about 35-40 USD for a regular AMT/Revell kit and then another $10-20 for a Tamiya kit!
