As some of you might have noticed... I recently removed the "guest" posting ability due to a smattering of our usual holiday drama that seems to rear its head when the weather turns. Unfortunately this now requires people to be logged in to view the board. I do apologize for that. I'm not in charge of the board's structure or coding... As a result, we've had a surge in new sign-ups. I assume many of you have been long-time lurkers, and again, I am sorry for forcing you into signing up and out of the shadows. Maybe at some point in the future I can lift the lock-down, but for now, it is what it is. I encourage you guys to dip into the water and introduce yourselves. As you know we generally are a friendly bunch, though participation has become more spectatorly than active. That rests soley upon the board's participants. You want a more active board? Jump in. There are no dumb questions, and I always like looking at links. Admittedly I am guilty of being non-active most of the year. I build a lot in the winter when the weather and home and family duties allow for more indoor time. I do keep tabs in the summer, but my productivity is zero. That being said, if you'd like to crack the ice and say hi or share what your interests are, ask a question, or anything else, this is as good of a time as ever. Let's make 2016 a great year here. Welcome aboard.

Guilty as charged. I have been a lurker here for years and years. No problem signing up. Quick and easy. Now all I have to do is participate more. Thanks for the welcome.

An update: Thanks to Tooold for the insight on how to restrict posting to the boards from guests while keeping them visible to those folks not logged in... the settings were nested deep within the admin features. I learn something new every day.

I was told about the site a looong while ago, but life got in the way. Most of my builds a vintage drag cars, trucks and Factory Design "what if" cars, like my Hudson Sportster and '66 Charger Aero. I do have a lot of partially and finished show rods though. Two on going projects are the Ed Roth Rotar and the Art Carr "Aztec" 55 Chevy. A lot of inspiration here. Would there be a place for the Rotar build up here? Paul

Would there be a place for the Rotar build up here? Paul The Rotar build is perfect for the showrod board, and the Aztec in the non-showrods board. The Rotar and many other resin-based kits aren't on Dave's master list because he was only sticking to what the model companies offered, to keep things simple. Any resin, or completely made up showrod, is more than welcome to be posted in the Showrod area. We love looking at them all. Thank you for participating, you have some great stuff.
