We might have done this before, but... I was thinking my Fast Trash was started in 2002... that's pretty old. I have one or two one that MAY be older than that... one being a vintage dry lakes fuel tanker project with twin flatheads, or the Old School gasser bus... and I have an "ultimate 57 Chevy" that is basically a collection of parts in a box. It's never been started. I got back into model building around 1997-8-ish? I don't have any models left over from my childhood, which I built profusely. What is your oldest stalled project, and how old is it?

I honestly don't have a clue....I have 100's of stalled projects and many of them was started already in the late 70's or so...

My oldest stalled project was an old Chevy Luv truck . I got it from a friend of mine back in the early 1980's and it was partially built . I took it all apart , gave it a two tone Duplicolor paint job , and had plans to pit a v8 in with a larger rear, etc. , then.... nothing. It ended in a box of semi built kits , got all stained with rust from a leaky pipe in my dads house, but somehow it never hit the trash and ended up in my basement. I finally got it finished for a "stalled build" contest on another site about 5 years ago . Its no showrod, sort of a pro street truck [/URL]

I applaud you guys that build resin cars... they are a whole other ball game. Though I do have a Manta Ray kicking around somewhere...

I think we have done this before, but if it weren't for stalled project threads, I'd have nothing to post. So here goes. It could be one of these two. Technically, this is the oldest because I started the original bodywork when I was 12 or so. (1974?) I got a far as setting the body on the fenders. There is a good amount of white putty in there. Then in the 90s's I dug it out and took it as far as you see here. Hosted on FotkiHosted on FotkiOr this one started just before the resurrection of the one above. About 7 years now, still trying to figure it out. This one about 5 years in the making. And here's probably the oldest at about 9 years , this is just a rough mock up not going to use those pipes , right now it has 2 olds engines under the cab. These are just a few , I have many more LOL!!!

You guys have some neat stuff! Bert you need to dust that Garbage truck off and add some bigger rear wheels and make it a wheelstander... you have the right ladder bars for it... and John is that the Daytona Transporter cab in the middle one? I dig that a lot.

Would have never guessed El Camino but can see a tad in the roof profile. Here some inspiration for the garbage truck:) Tyrone Malone's "Defiance"
