I remember getting a gluebomb of one of those and thinking it was the coolest thing ever. It was hammered though, broken window parts and glue-covered chrome... glad to see they re-issued this one.

Neat! Looks like a fun little kit. Must add it/some to the Daniel and Deal bus collection.

Well, after seeing this, I put my glasses on, and read on the box that it was molded in yellow.....damn. I picked up the first Beetle Bus that came to town last Wednesday, and it was a "Katch the Kat" kit, molded in metallic green, was hoping it was in white, but it's yellow, I hate yellow plastic!!! So much work to block it in the painting process.

The kit looks great and I will own one someday , but as my LHS is getting $33.00 plus tax for it, it going to be a while. This brings up a thought . While all the extra stuff is cool, would they sell more if all the extras were not added ,thus ( in theory) keeping the price down ? Personally ,even though they are cool , I could do without all the cardboard extras ,and even the extra tinted glass if it could bring the price down . I think they would sell more kits this way , what kid has $35.00 to spend on a model ? - Just my opinion !!

I'm with you and would much prefer plain old white styrene but it could be worse . . . they could all be metallic green !!

To continue my modeling education, what is the problem with yellow plastic?

To continue my modeling education, what is the problem with yellow plastic? It tends to affect the painted color, much like, but not as extreme as the dreaded RED plastic.

For red plastic I prime it then shoot it with a coat of Zissner B I N and no bleed through. Sorry, off topic, go back to your regularly scheduled programming. ?
