The Polar Lights reissue plastic seems to be un friendly to paint and putty. Anybody run into that on the kit? Paul

It's junk. Somebody on here had a reason, I forget what it was.... but the whole glow in the dark thing seems to have come at the expense of it being anywhere near model-like in composition. I had a heck of a time just getting glue to stick to it. The whole kit is a let-down.

So far Plastruct Plastic Weld cement and Tamiya ABS Primer for RC bodies seems to be working. . . so far. Paul

Glad that you are getting some where with it. I had glue problems with the Ice Cream truck paint was ok thank goodness. In the end I used Super Glue you guys call it something else and it worked.

It's ABS and that's why Plastruct weld works.....half the Plastruct line is ABS.
