Kool project!! I'll be watching the progress of this one. I also had the idea to build one in 1:8. BTW, Scaledetail (Bill Clark) has made a set of kit-accurate front tires in 1:8 for his Red baron project. He might be willing to cast you a set.

Yes I know Bill showed me them look good ,Bill also has the rear slick made up but needs a little tweeking .
