So, I LOVE kitbashing and scratchbuilding - but I've never really found a GREAT kit to use for sourcing parts from. Something cheap, easy to find and GREAT for bashing other showrods together. Something with a nice frame and from and rear axles, maybe some cool rolling stock, maybe a cool engine...
Any of you guys got a go-to favorite that you like working with? I'm looking for some leads here!

Ohhh, good list Scott! I have a couple of those - Amazon had the Orange Crate for $8 a while back so I got a few just for parts. Was the RRRumbler that blue Rambler slammer kit that someone did a while back? AMT maybe?

Ahhhhh, I have a little Tiki shifter that I got in a batch of parts and I'd been casting some copies because I didn't know where it was from or if I'd ever get another one. I guess I know now!

I will always take any and all Creepy T's and Mummy Machines for their Cragars and engines, and nobody ever really wants them. The AMT Double Dragster kit is awesome for parts, as is the Boothill Express... which now has become a little harder to find. But I love the wheels and tires and Hemi in that one. Gluebombs are always great for parting out. T'Rantulas and Paddy Wagons and Bad Medicines are always welcome in my junkyard.

That's a super easy answer; Monogram's 1/20th scale (not the new 1/25th scale one by the same name) Sizzler dragster kit. Tires, wheels, frame and engines are absolutely awesome for building period dragsters using the Yonts' brothers method with 00-90 nuts and bolts.
