I found this on the web. It's the bike I really wanted when I was a kid. I know some of you have these, so I'm posting it up. But it's really cool because of the rider. Hosted on Fotki

I'd ride it Scott! That's SUPER cool! Did any kit ever have a chopper bicycle like this? I know one of the AMT kits had a bike but it was kinda lowrider-y That thing looks like it would be a handfull to ride - I bet I could fall off that, no problem

Auto World had a ton of parts to turn your Sting Ray and to a stretched Dragster or a Fad T. Sissy bars, front forks, drag chutes, shifters plus more.

It would be fun to recreate one of those chopper bikes.
I remember Mike Dunn using that bicycle drag chute in Funny Car Summer.
Have any of you figured out who is riding that cool machine?

Good feedback. I've taken a run at a Boss Bike on eBay, but let it go for more than I wanted to pay.
But..... WHO is riding the bike in the picture? Seems like an early nerd like that would not have been that cool.

I remember years ago, here in UK, someone built their own extended forks on a Raleigh Chopper Bike. Putting an even smaller front wheel, no brakes...It was fitted with working brake lights. (converted bike lights, with a simple bare wire, which turned them on when brake wheel only) Similar to this....... Attachments:

I don't know who it is specifically , but being about that kids age in, what I'm assuming is about 1972 I can honestly say nearly every kid looked like that !

I remember extending the forks by shoving them together end to end, some were hollow on top. I had a Murray Firecat for years until my last move.

I had a Murray Fire Cat when I was a kid, and I loved it... I broke the forks jumping it. I also had a purple Huffy Rail with a Fueler Fork. the fork gets passed around on eBay every once in a while. I'll have to dig for a picture.
