Not THOSE parts 😆
So, I live in a pretty small apartment and I store most of my unused kit parts in plain old kit boxes, and I've got a plastic folder for keeping my decals nice and flat and dry and safe. It's not the best system though - I have to dig through big boxes of loose random parts to find anything and then I'm like "ohh look, a doodad" and nothing ever gets built because I get distracted.
So, what do you guys do about storing your spares? I'd LOVE to see some storage solution ideas, if anyone has any cool ideas or setups to share

I have about 3-4 of those shoe box size plastic storage boxes for the parts plan to use or are very rare. (a Uncertain T body) The common stuff is in one of those 20 gal storage tubs.

I build in my basement , so parts end up EVERYWHERE! I have parts in old kit boxes ,two large cardboard boxes, a couple of small boxes with drawers etc. I always have the same problem ; you know you have a certain part, go looking for it and get distracted

many are in a large tote but I I do use smaller ones for wheels tires custom stuff wife grabs them from a dollar store but they work great and there clear so I can see in them also use small zip locks so hot rods in some muscle cars in others and the scratch building stuff or conversions in another

Yeah, Bobby needs to adopt all of us! I have a small nuts and bolts bin I work out of, with a separate drawer for things like headers, superchargers, non-supercharger parts, rims, seats, front suspensions, rear suspensions, etc. I also have one model kit box that is nothing but chrome trees. and another that is just tires... the rest is lumped into other model kit boxes. I have a Model T and A boneyard box that is nothing but those, a showrod bits box with trimmings and body scraps hacked off of others, and everything else just kind of lives in a model box in the stack. Once I complete a project I toss the box, and this makes room for more. I also have three other square nuts and bolts bins that were given to me by an older guy, they were his when he was a kid in the '60s, and out of respect, I've left all his parts in there, though I do pull from them for stuff, they are just there. I have a toooon of AMT trophies and doo-dads. He and I did the same thing with models, only a few decades apart.
