Using the cover recall method suggest here I bought another CARtoons on line, vintage 1969. I was hoping to find the issue that contained the feature I used to copy this cool car about 44 years ago.

It came in the mail. I starting reading right from the cover. I remembered all the features. Fun, AND a good sign. Then I came to this...

That was it! Got lucky again. That feature inspired the drawing above and a story I wrote for my 5th grade class.

I'd love to see it in plastic though - should I maybe check back in 10 years or so?
