Well gang, I am not so sure about this one. I won the two Barris Mail Trucks for 20.oo and thought I had hit the jackpot. I just got an e-mail from the guy saying that his storage unit had gotten broken into and they took everything but a couch. That would include the model/collectable kits. I am not so sure I belive this so I am going to keep an eye out for CHEAP Barris kits. I am sure that some knows what they stole and will be posting them soon enough

Yeah, well, the seller appears to have listed it in "Character Figures"--that's why it didn't get any bids.

Yeah it was me, got ahold of him today and will send out payment tommorow, he also had two Barris mail truck kits in one, and an orginal Beverly Hillbillies truck, I missed out on, I've been tring to replace some of the models I lost in the fire a year and a half ago, but it's been hard to get good prices on the older kits, plus my health has been so-so, and I'm only working about 26 hours a week so a good Bargain is what I hope to find... Lucky me

This is the e-mail I got after I had won the Mail Trucks. Maybe I am the only un-luck one here?
Dear sir, I'm sorry to report (plenty embarrassed too) that after I sent the invoice I went to my storage place this evening to fetch your item and more for auction on eBay only to find (to my extreme dismay) my unit had been broken into and most of the contents missing (a$&holes took about everything but the furniture!!!), unfortunately including the boxes of collectables and kits that your item was in. I really hope this reaches you before you remit payment in any shape or form, as I do not wish to inconvenience/disappoint/annoy you further. I promise to make this up to you somehow (free shipping or something?) in a future transaction and my sincerest apologies for this occurrence. Sincerely Jack P.S. Please to e-mail an acknowledgment of receipt for this message as promptly as possible that I may rest assured you have not sent payment and quite feel free to "chew me out" for this colossal blunder.

I am not mad at this person per say, just disappointed and a litte suspicious. I had won some pretty pricy kits for a really low price and now they are gone . Hmmm I had gotten another e-mail from him and from what he told me, I guess he had placed an ad in the local paper wanting to sell off everything before going the E-bay route. A couple of guys showed up to look at the starage unit he had the stuff in and gave him a really stupid low price so he declined. He had taken the pictures of the stuff for insurance puropses so that's how he was able to put them on E-Bay. He goes to get some of the things that people had won and the place had been cleaned out. That's the story I have gotten.

This is the e-mail I got from him, Congrats on your purchase. And quite the steal at $14.75 as I paid almost $50.00 for it 3 years ago on eBay. I also picked up an original issue Eldon Bathtub kit same place (for an excellent price, as it was in pristine condition, still factory sealed. Built the Eldon one (pics available upon request) and did such a splendid job of it, if I do say so myself, that I never needed to tap the Doyusha one for parts. But I digress....Will send a ship date e-mail upon confirmed payment. Thanks, Jack So we will see if I will receive it or not later...

Ain't it a "crap shoot" sometimes you hit the "mark" sometimes you get "crapped on"
