I was granted a room in the basement. . .and Love it. . . it has horses on the walls. . . .but. . . it is a room to build and my space! Here is my stalled project area and untraditional parts area (computer pieces, household items and other stuff! The rest are kits and some hotwheels and cases. . . and empty boxes! I usually work out on the bar in the basement to be with the family. . and them when the room is clean. . . I might work in there. But here is the MESS . . . and I know most of you couldn't work this way! But I can . . . . for a while. . . once these last three projects are finished it will be a clean sweep of the table. . . And if you notice on the wall is a drawing I got from Wyatt! ! ! I love it! GB barten

Tim, that is a 25th scale Light My Firebird, Firebird kit turned into a large scale Redline car. I made the package to go with it for one of the conventions. Thats what I do for a living. I do packaging, graphics, and proto-typing for small diecast toy cars. I have done quite a few of the redlines in large scale like that. I will dig out some pics.

no, no, the mess isn't a problem, its the lack of space to display, lack of money to get more kits , and lack of time to build them all !! LOL

Here's my workbench! After about 2 years working out in an 8'x8' wooden lawn shed outsidewith a space heater in the winter and an electric fan in the summer, we were able to use an extra bedroom in our home to make room for my modeling. I popped for a nice airbrush booth, vented it out through the floor (we live in a mobile home), used an old set of drawers from an old waterbed base, and set up shop. The sad thing is I STILL don't get as much done as I'd like to! Ellis in KC, MO

As a folllow-up to my last post, I've made a deal with my wife. I have that remaining center space up on my top shelf. The deal is that I can fill that up with kits but, after it's filled, I can't buy any more kits UNTIL I actually create a vacancy by COMPLETING a model kit and creating the new opening. Actually, I came up with the deal as an incentive for myself to spend less time at the computer shopping on eBay for more stuff and to get my rear in gear and finish up some kits. I have more on that shelf now than I'll ever get completed in my lifetime anyway (but it's sure fun getting kits for my stash!). Ellis in KC,MO

But I just got out of surgery last Wednesday to repair a hernia, so I can't really do anything but sit here and bug you guys until I can move around more.... ;D By the way, some of you guys sure have a lot of unbuilt kits.....Wow!
