I don't know how many of the guys here are into sketching and drawing but I'm sure there are a few. Well, most of you guys already know about the How to Draw Cars like a Pro from Thom Taylor. Well, in my trip to Barnes & Noble today what do I find? A sequel to it called How to Draw Choppers like a Pro by Thom Taylor. I've been sitting here reading through it and imediately thought of Fritz when I got to 2 full pages of drawings by Newt of the Captain Pepe chopper hauler. Did you know about this Fritz? I'd imagined that you did since you were talking about doing a recreation of it in cahoots with Indian Larry's shop. Anyway, since you guys are building bike kits at the moment, I thought you'd all like this book. I love it already. So far there is some Keith Weesner work in it as well as Newt and I know there is some work by Dave Deal of Deal's Wheels fame too. This is a must have for the library if you like drawing.

Thanks for the heads up A J, I have the first book, and will have to get this one too. Believe it or not, the '34 Cabriolet model in my avatar was based on a Thom Taylor drawing in SAE, and using a Thom Taylor kit, I built the car. I had e-mailed him during the build, and sent him photos when finished. He thought it was really kool to see one of his drawings turned into a scale car.

I'm a big fan of that build of yours.
To fill you in on the book a little, it's pretty much done in the same manner as the first but still really really good. The handful of artists that contributed all did fantastic chopper, bobber style bikes that just stand out like Crazy. Newt's stuff as always is outstanding. Weesner stuff is awesome! Dave Deal! Too many to remember but those are some of my favorite artists in general. The book I bought was hardback at Barnes & Noble for 9.99. Some of you have Books A Million which would most likely have the same deal since they are very similar stores. I've bought at both and usually look at everything and have found that the prices are pretty much the same.
Glad I could help and let me know how you like it after you get it.
