My accountant has told me he has all his hotwheels from a kid (well brother and him) and he finally got possession . . I have been after him for years to get it back from "mom's" basement. . . well he brought them in for me to see! ! ! !
WOW WOW WOW. . .he had three cases of redlines and all in really good condition. He had two wheel cases and a cube case with four racks. . . He had the power pad and the 31 woody I'm looking for. . .he had so many cars and some I never saw before.. .a beach bomb with boards (not the rear widow they were on the side) a sea sider with the boat Mod Quad, A jack rabit, nomad, ambulance and tow truck, rolls, indy eagle, the custom vette, a pink continental, red baron, paddy wagon, deora, several bugs, Grass Hopper, Evil Weevil Mongoose snake, AMX, Sand crab and the wild cars too. . . .I didn't get enough time to look at them all because of another client was coming in. . . .but I'm telling you. . . I wanted that collection . . . there were so many cool cars. . .. there had to be a hundred or so of them. .. . killer collection. . . .
and he told me his brother didn't want any! ! ! ! I with I had that guy for a brother! ! ! ! !
boy I asked if I could be in his will! ! ! ! ! and I wish he started living recklessly . . .
Unbelievable!
Just a collection that if he didn't want it would have gone into a land fill!

I collect Hotwheels too, and do several customs using them. The rage has slowed as of late as far as redlines go, they are not bringing the big bucks they used to. I remember when Bruce Pascal bought the hot pink rear loading beach bomb for somewhere around $30,000. I sold all my remaining original redlines 4 years ago, and don't regret it one bit!! I was in the new redline club for a couple years too, and picked up all the special cars they offered, but when I quit, I parted company with them as well when the right price was offered. I still have all the 100% collection from black box, to oil cans. I have all the Legends sets 1/64, 1/24 w/a 1/64, and the Legends to Life Twin Mill (probably one of the coolest Hotwheels thing I own) So Dan, tell you buddy to hang on to 'em now that he has them!!!

The sideloader only brings $1k depending on color and condition. And thats on a good day. It's a pretty common car. The Rear Loader (RLBB) is the one you want. Been collecting HWs since 1989.

Bruce Pascal bought the Beach Bomb for $30k?
Not even close. You are a few dollars off. Bruce paid $72,000 for the 1st one from Chris Marshall. It was the Real Loader transition peice with the sideloader base. He then bought the 2nd one for a little less cash with the standard RLBB base. He sold that one to Gerard? The $72k RLBB is currently on display at the Peterson Museum.
