The builder of that car has been on this site before. He had pics of this can as he was building it, plus some beautiful pics of some of the others he's built. One had the rear of a (i think ) 59 olds which was painted blue and white, which looked realy sharp.

The builder / owner is Aaron Grote of Cerro Gordo, Illinois.
Fins/decklid are I believe a '58 Plymouth; most of the rest is hand fabricated. Bubbletop is a plexiglass skylight. 392 Chrysler Hemi with 8 Holley 94s on hand fabbed intake.
Car will be shown at the Detroit Autorama this weekend... look for it in the "Autorama Extreme" display in the basement of Cobo Hall.

Couple more notes: paint is the PPG color that was offered as part of a Hot Wheels promotion (Aaron almost always paints his cars blue). Interior stitched by Dave Martinez of Indianapolis. Car was just completed two days ago.

Yeah, the Lunar Lander (with the 59 Olds fins) is in Shreveport, and belongs to a doctor.

Well, my top secret pictures have been leaked by a mole in the organization. Ha Ha Ha
The paint is actually House of Kolor Kandy Apple Red, the PPG stuff didn't look very good on the test tank we painted.
I just came in from loading it in the trailer, I will be cobo bound in the morning. Come by and buy a T-shirt or 2 please because I have just about reached the credit limit on my credit card trying to finish this thing up for the show. Ha Ha Ha
Eldon, I am going to try to make it to Salina with it this year. I will have to see how the finances hold out.
Thanks for the compliments guys!

man, if it had not been for the Link at IowaHawk, I'd have never seen this thing! Who knew that my two biggest interests (Politics & Showrods) would meet?
Plowboy, That is awesome. Where do I get the Shirts. I am in Clown-ifornia, and won't be at Cobo in this lifetime. Thanks, Alan
