As many of you know, I was thrashing last Friday night to finish the big scale Green Hornet. I made the show 3 hours down the road and it took top honors !.. It won 1st place in the big scale challenge and also the "Bowl me Over" award at the 24th annual Kustom Kemps in Miniature show in Davenport Iowa.. I just had to share the joy ! .. Thanks for all the positive remarks and help in making this build a success .. Ratrod and Timbo were among the people who made it a reality .. ;D Starry Eyes

It was your design and expert building techniques that one it acolades Chuck, not a paint job. It's just a beautiful buildup with all the right parts and some shock appeal! Congratulations on a well-deserved win!

Congrats Chuck!!! I agree with Tim, that was your build bud!! Hell, I would have never thought about doing a 1/8 scale copy of the Green Hornet, and you did a fabulous job doing it!!! In the last 40+ years, how many 1/8 Green Hornets have you seen? ;D It was an honor to get to add a small piece to help you out, and it was fun sharing PM's & phone calls (Chuck was like a 10 year old kid all week... ) Again, congrats Big Guy!!!BTW....I can't believe you don't have a pic of it at the show, all set up......Chuck, Chuck, Chuck (shaking head)

Congrads! How many times will one see a 1/8 scale model showrod? Even for the people who wouldn't have known it was a showrod, it's still freaking cool!!! Congrads man. How's about a photo of it at home on display with the first place ribbon? ;D

Well Rob, Mike Gradis in California makes a ton of 8th scale resin including re-pop fenders for the "Big Tub". You can find him at eDeuce.com . The fenders were SUPER THIN !. .. and very fragile but all in all very nice stuff ..
