Rookie answer probably best. I almost got hornswaggled in my quest for a Red Baron. Fortunately, I was outbid, and later found it(and won) much, much cheaper...in a tin. Then, a Trantula went for $91.00, and I picked one up a week later for $26!!! '68, '95...what's the difference. Now, a TD King Chopper, hmmmm, I might just have to spend kid's inheritence on that bad boy!!

Here's how I figure it:
Cost of kit in LHS $18.95+Tx. (if they had it.) Cost to drive to LHS (probably 150 miles away) $35.00. Cost of a cup of coffee or other refreshment on the way there $1.25+Tx. Cost to stop and eat somewhere $15.00+Tx.
You do the math.
Makes sense to me. ;D

here's an easier scenario.... don't get in a rush to buy the first one you see. search e-bay and find the same kit for $9.99 plus $8.00 shipping 3 days later. pay $17.99 for the same kit and save about $30.00 to spend on 2 more kits.
Makes sense to me. ;D

Makes sense to me. ;D I know what you mean Rob, that's how I always do it. I also try to buy 3 or more kits off of the same seller for even more savings. Never be in a rush to get something, that's when it costs you.
