Dave, it's a wonderful tribute to those builds from the 60's that we all admired as kids. It's a fresh jump off of Car Model circa 65'? It's simple, yet complicated in it's bodywork and fit and finish. To all of you others out there looking at this, I have to tell you, Dave and I have been friends for several years now. We've been thru some good times and bad, sickness and health, like to old women hangin' on to each other! LOL. I have watched Dave's abilitys progress from his pretty basic early builds, to some of the best custom builds and fabrication I have ever seen. Keep an eye on this guy, your going to see some more incredible work from him in the future! Best to you Dave. Your still one of my hero's brother.

Wow guys, I appreciate all the compliments. I went the road of trying to make an extremely detailed 68 Chevelle pro street. This thing had a trans cooler, a spring on the carb linkage on the blower, and it turned out to be a very nerve racking build! The more you detail the more you have to detail. That thing still doesn't have brake lines on it, but I almost had a breakdown. Then it hit me, the old stuff in the Model Mags, I would just oogle and dream that maybe someday I could build like that. One of the next two things I'm going to document is a Fiat railjob that my all time favorite builder Don Emmons made for Rod & Custom magazine. Thats me at 12 or 14 caught reading a zine when I was sposed to be asleep! in my Avatar foto. So I managed to aquire every Car Model, R&C, Model Car Science, Car Craft and so on from my becoming aware of cars 1962-72. This is where my inspiration comes from, and from all my internet model building pals. I'm new here, but I already feel at home cause I feel like the kind of modeling I like to do, is thriving here. My pal Tim who I've known since practically when I first had a puter, never ceases to amaze me with the whacky kool kustoms he dreams up! Sometimes we get to talkin on the phone and never run out of stuff to talk about, which reminds me, I need to share a story that has recently come up about 60's customizer Dave Puhl. Can ya believe my girlfriend actually owned one of his customs! Wait'll you hear this!!! ok ok and I'm also going to start a new thread about another car I'm getting done for Toledo, a twin engined, 1940 Ford altered body railjob, inspired by an old Model car magazine cover...stay tuned !
