Finally got the nerve to post some pics on the first major build in a while. An old tool Amt '57 Chev. The molds either are getting old or the factory workers don't give a s***. Parts are less than great in the fit department and in some cases a bit miss matched and deformed but hey - I'm still having fun for the most part. Here's the general look: The Underside: The rear end - which kept breaking apart due to lack of gluing surfaces - finally put straps on over the axles on the springs: Parts box rims - kit slicks: The hood - removed and filled the bulges - not perfect but works for me : The grill area - first attempt at customizing: And Finally the engine - parts box intake and rocker covers - note the deformed tranny: Thanks for looking and comments are welcome. Lance

It's got that cool sixties high-school hot rod look right now. I look forward to seeing what's next!

Oh yeah - "ah mord not fit so werl - so what - people buy anyway...." - was playing with a kit from the early 80's and wow the fit of the engine halves... wonderful. Hey Paintguy - the only thing left at winners was another Daisy Pukes Jeep - 3.00 so bought it. I guess the distributors thought Nanaimo was a great place to flog those things. Found 5 so far - 4 at walfart and 1 at winners. Thanks guys for the input - the color is going to be metallic purple - unless there are any suggestions? Lance

It does look good. But since no one else wants to say it, What the hell happened to the tranny? I like the grill mods. looks good. and as always I love the slicks. ;D ;D the hood looks good too. never thought of that one. always left a 57 Chevy look like a 57 Chevy. I would like to see where this goes and how it looks when it is done.
Ken...
