One of the things that I was stuck on to really make this Rod stand out was something original for the truck bed floor. I thought of a multicolored Tonneau cover which I still may make for display, but wanted to do something unique. I found this material, and new it was ideal for my application. Maybe you can quess what it is and win a prize! The prize will be a suprise haha! Anyway...ya diggin it???

Liked Ratrod's idea, like a aluminum sheet for coolin' off cookies, but thats a no already. Just went thru the wife's kitchen stuff & got chewed out. Maybe I should have put the stuff back & not left it on the counter...............oh well

Well so far your'e mostly right about it being aluminum, sorry the one foto does make it look a little like a grater but there are no holes, I like it cause it does remind me of diamond plate. Kepp trying, maybe it'll come to ya. Thanks for all the positive feedback tho, I do think it kid of adds more interest than say a woodgrain floor with slats or just just some tin.

Looks way kool Dave. I don't know what it is from, but I'd guess it's something ready made since the pattern is so perfect on it. It's funny how sometimes those things just hit you, and can be found in the oddest places! Good work as usual.

Dave,
It's probably somethign so simple we'll hate ourselves in the morning for, right?
So I ask myself, what could give that sort of texture, be silvery and shiney, and be that commone we'd go "D'oh" over? What would also have a diamon checker look to it?
My guess would be the inside wrapper / cushioning of a box of chocolates.
