I ran across a heck of a deal at the Goodguys swap meet in Hershey this weekend, and inside the mint Rommel's Rod box that I scored for a mere two dollars were a few things that one of you clowns might need.
I found an original instruction sheet to a Dragon Wagon/Circus Wagon, it's not mint but it is all there. I also found one half of a dragon, and a chrome tree with the rims (Although the chrome is peeling on one of them, could be alcladded) the two rear axle halves, the tie rod and drag link, and the little monkey radiator cap. (<---- I know that's a neat piece and always missing!)
Here's the deal. I really would like these to go to one of you guys who are restoring one of these. I will ship these to the first person who responds to this post and PM's me a shipping address... PLEASE do not ask for these if you: A. Do not have a DW to restore, or B. Are not going to actually build the model. These will go to a good home with the stipulation that I get to see the finished kit on here at some point.
------
I also scored a nice S'Cool Bus box from 1968, with the red windows and a really old Beer Wagon box, 1967-I think, and I found several skeletons from the RR... one standing up with a gun, and one and two thirds of another one sitting down with the binoculars, a hood side with the exhaust pipes, a spare tire cover, both windscreens, and the two smaller driving lights... I was a happy man to say the least...
I asked the guy where the rest of his models and parts went and he said they were all from his childhood and he gave them all to his grandkids... I bet he gave them kids some of the coolest stuff ever, and had no clue what they were worth..
If you need the DW parts and fit the bill holler at me.
