Finished these a few weeks ago. Built them both at the same time which was interesting. You cant help but wonder if AMT had included a pic of the Grannies Rod on the box they might have sold twice as many

Wow!! I think you did perfect on the weathering for the truck as well ... I've seen photos of others where the builder (IMO) went overboard on that.
And the hot rod -- that's the best build I've seen of it! I didn't even know the hot rod parts were included in the AMT reissue until I read it online somewhere -- before that, I never really had much intention of buying it. AMT really dropped that ball on that one.

Great builds both! I'd love to see a nice set of figures to go with one of these, and a Jethro Bodean "Double-Naught Spy Car" conversion too!

Great builds both! I'd love to see a nice set of figures to go with one of these, and a Jethro Bodean "Double-Naught Spy Car" conversion too! I never thought of that one, GREAT, now I have to buy ANOTHER Beverly Hillbillies car...... One thing that always bothered me about that kit was the "Driver: Granny" decal for the door of the Hot Rod version. If you watch the episode of TBH, it's Jethro that drives the Hot Rod version and Granny drives the original truck....albeit BACKWARDS, that beats Jethro cause she's runnin' XXX in the Olds. Just an observation, great job on the builds, BTW. Steve
